About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing company vehicles and equipment in a safe, quality-conscious, and timely manner.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, service, and repair company vehicles and equipment in a safe, quality-conscious, and timely manner
    • Troubleshoot and identify necessary repairs; report issues to the Fleet Maintenance Manager
    • Install equipment
    • Perform typical maintenance services at scheduled intervals; assist with various maintenance tasks as directed by the manager
    • Perform basic mechanic work
    • Fulfills pickup and delivery of fleet vehicles in a timely manner
  • Documentation Responsibilities
    • Complete work orders and maintain detailed notes regarding repairs and replacements
    • Complete and submit all required documents in an accurate and timely manner
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements
  • Comply with company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures
  • Maintain and establish cooperative working relationships; ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company
  • Keep work area clean and secure
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED education required
  • Minimum one (1) year work experience required, preferably in a shop environment
  • Valid driver's license required
    • Class A valid CDL or ability to obtain Class A CDL within six months of hire preferred
  • Ownership of repair tools
  • Experience with technology and equipment including smartphones, tablets, and laptops preferred
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment and operate under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to drive for extended periods of time, on occasion
    • Ability to manipulate hands, arms, and fingers to use hand tools and power tools
    • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
