About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance of engineering activities associated design and construction of overhead and underground high voltage electrical systems.

Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Performs design activities associated with the layout of electrical distribution systems
  • Creates physical layout drawings for electrical systems when needed
  • Conducts field audits for the construction of electrical power systems
  • Completes daily contract administration
  • Attends project meetings
  • Collaborates to resolve problems, respond to customer inquiries, and manage projects
  • Fosters a safe, productive job-site environment and quality work products; encourages an attitude of safety and quality in others
  • Presents information to individuals and groups; prepares reports and presentations
  • Ensures the work product is quality, timely and efficient
  • Other duties as assigned

Education And/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in an engineering or construction management discipline
  • Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to participate in a team environment
  • Willingness to work in an outdoor environment
  • Willingness to work at project sites requiring an occasional overnight stay
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

Preferred Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5)+ years of experience in the engineering/utility industry
  • CAD and/or MicroStation
  • PLS CAD
  • SAG 10
  • ARC Flash Studies
  • Fiber Optic design
  • Contractual related project/work environment
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Engineer Intern (EI) working towards PE licensure (or the willingness to work toward these credentials) is beneficial
