About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for architectural design, development and deployment of overall enterprise systems, cloud solutions and migrations.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage and work on advanced, complex technical and business projects requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge
  • Serve as final escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Identify and implement cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of companies
  • Design, develop and deploy systems at the enterprise level
  • Define system needs based on business goals, user needs, strategic plans, costs and integration with existing systems and equipment
  • Research, identify, select and test products required for solution delivery
  • Establish, implement, document and communicate technology integration and migration strategies
  • Stay on top of industry trends, new products and solutions, and upcoming external factors that could impact business solutions
  • Serve as a resource to IT Analysts and System Engineers to resolve the most complex user issues
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers
  • Recommend technology solutions and improvements to address business needs
  • Manage projects, delegate work and follow up to ensure progress is made as anticipated; remove road blocks and guide those working on projects under your control; may manage a team of project managers from time to time
  • Provide input into evaluations and other feedback for less senior technicians; input regarding lateral moves, promotions, additional training needs, and dismissals carries significant weight
  • Proactively strive for the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability
  • Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve problems for internal and external customers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of relevant technology
  • Mentor less senior IT personnel and assist them in gaining expertise and skills in new areas
  • Assist the Technology group in succession planning activities, contributing to the long-term success of the team
  • Other duties as assigned or prudent

Education and/or Experience:

  • Four-year college degree and/or technology certifications required
  • 10+ years' experience and expertise in two or more areas of relevant technology required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
  • Experience working on networks, storage solutions, cloud application management
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to use independent judgment, maintain a high level of confidentiality and operate under minimal supervision
  • Valid Drivers' License and clean driving record required
